Ever wondered how makeup artists can achieve all the specialized makeup techniques you see on stage and hair styles that suit the character/creature or time period? Now you learn all that and more in a fun, hands-on hair and makeup class. This class
introduces students to the basic anatomy of the human face, and the methods, materials and techniques used to alter the appearance of themselves and others using the fundamentals of stage makeup. A special emphasis will be placed on the styling of
the upcoming spring show, A Little Mermaid where students will have the opportunity to learn the art of making human hair and faces look like sea creatures. Students will have the opportunity to design a look for various sea characters. After completing the course, students will be eligible to apply for a special student- based hair and makeup team for the Little Mermaid. Those selected will have the
opportunity to do hair and/or makeup for the mainstage show in June! Note - a course requirement will be for students to have their own Ben Nye Personal Makeup Kit. Those who have not been in a show with us will be color matched at the first class to order the
correct kit.

Note: To ensure the success of the Showcase, students are required to attend all scheduled classes. Those with more than 2 absences may become ineligible to participate.
