Teacher:

Holly Linders

Holly has been involved in many parental volunteer capacities with CYT Austin since 2019. She has always loved sewing and has grown to love costumes while growing her seamstress skills on the costume team, including leading the team for Mary Poppins and Sound of Music. She was a school teacher before homeschooling her children, and her family are all huge musical theater fans!

Teacher:

Audra Outlaw

Audra has been involved with costuming at CYT for over 7 years and 20 shows, leading the team for the majority. Though officially "retired" as a team lead after her son graduated from the program, Audra continues to lend her support and experience as our Costume Shop Manager. The aspects of costuming she enjoys most are creating custom costume pieces, thrifting/sourcing, crafting one-of-a-kind headpieces, and bringing it all to life through detail work and accessorizing. Before having children, Audra spent her career as a marketing director for an award-winning homebuilder. Here, she was able to use her natural creativity while gaining an eye for detail and continuity, in addition to honing her skills in project management and problem-solving. All of which are essential skills for successfully costuming a show!

Teacher:

Karen Craxton

Karen Craxton has a degree in fashion and had a career with watches until she became a mother. She found a second life for her training in color, design, and historical fashions in her role as CYT Austin's Hair and Makeup designer for the mainstage productions since 2018. She has completed makeup training with professionals from LA and in NYC and continues to learn about all the possibilities with stage makeup! Karen is the HYPE advisor for CYT Austin and enjoys working with students of all ages as they discover their value in the Lord.
